Sound Waves

What is Sound Healing?

At its core, Sound Healing is the practice of using vibrations to bring the body and mind back into balance. Everything in the universe, including you, is made of atoms that are constantly vibrating. That means everything has a frequency, including your cells, organs, and brainwaves.
Because we are made mostly of water, sound travels through us with ease… Vibrating every cell, gently tuning the body back into balance. The healing tones help regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and invite deep rest from the inside out.
These instruments emit steady, healing frequencies that “Entrain” your body and brain. That just means your system naturally begins to sync up with the more harmonious sound, like a tuning fork helping a piano string find the right pitch.
As this happens, you may gently shift from your usual alert state (called Beta) into more relaxed brainwave states like Alpha, Theta, or Delta. These states support deep rest, dreamlike clarity, and even healing sleep. Many people report feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected after a session. Some feel physical pain melt away. Others have insights, emotional release, or
moments of pure presence. The result? You leave feeling clearer, calmer, and more resilient

What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where you’re “bathed” in soothing sound vibrations…

No water involved, just waves of healing tones and harmonics.
Using instruments like Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, and other resonant tools… A Sound Bath helps calm the mind, release tension, and bring the body into a state of restorative balance. As you lie down or sit comfortably, the sounds wash over you, gently guiding you into
slower brainwave states associated with rest, insight, and healing. Making space for inner observation and self exploration. And along the way finding some emotional release and physical relief.

Every Sound Bath is different, every Frequency Facilitator has a different style... it's truly an individual experience.
There’s no effort required! Just close your eyes, surrender to intentional rest, breathe, and let the sound carry you. Many people leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to themselves and the world around them.

What is Resonance &
Entrainment?

Here’s where it gets fun. Entrainment is a natural phenomenon where two rhythms sync up. It’s nature’s way of saving energy, it takes less effort to harmonize than to resist.
So, when a sound with a strong, steady frequency is introduced (like a gong or singing bowl), your body will start to match it. That’s forced resonance and in this case, it’s a FABULOUS thing! It can shift your mood, your energy, even your physical state.
You’ve probably felt this before: upbeat music lifts your spirits, or someone’s anxious energy makes you feel tense.

That’s Entrainment at work. When used intentionally, this force becomes
a powerful tool for healing and harmony.

How Does Sound Heal?

Let’s get into the science! Sound waves enter through your ears, travel to your brain, and then communicate with the rest of your body, especially via the Vagus Nerve. This activates your parasympathetic nervous system (aka your “rest and restore” mode), allowing your body to relax and begin healing on a cellular level.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all! Sound Baths and Healing is for everyone. Just come with an open mind, peaceful intentions, and allow yourself to be taken care of and relax.

Intention has so much to do with your Sound Journey. Just be gentle with yourself and know you're doing it right.

What Should I bring to
a Sound Bath?

  • Yoga mat (or something to lie on, you're usually on the floor or Earth)

  • Blanket

  • Pillow or cushion for extra comfort.

  • Comfortable clothing you can relax in.

  • Anything else that makes you feel cozy, comfortable, and safe (water, crystals, journal, etc.)

Sometimes anti-gravity chairs are available depending on location. Please let me know in advance if you’d like to reserve one.

I will always supply a weighted eye pillow & bolster for under your knees.

Is Sound Healing safe
for everyone?

Generally, Yes. If you are pregnant, deal with sensory/sound sensitive conditions, or have a medical device like a pacemaker, please check with your doctor.

However, this is usually only if instruments are going to be placed on the body like tuning forks or sound bowls. Which only happens in a 1:1 Sound Healing Session.

What if I "don't feel anything"?

That’s perfectly okay. Everyone experiences sound baths differently! Some feel physical sensations, some see colors or images, and others simply rest deeply. No matter what, your body and mind are still receiving the benefits of deep rest.

How long is a session?

Most Sound Bath's and healing sessions last 60-90 minutes. Though depending on the event, it ma be shorter or longer.

I'm not "good at meditating"-
Will I be good at this?

Absolutely. There’s nothing you need to “do” in a sound bath, just get comfortable and listen. The sound itself naturally and scientifically guides your mind and body into a relaxed, meditative state, so it often feels effortless.

Is this affiliated with a
Religious Practice or
against the Bible?

No. Sound baths are not tied to any religion nor is any religion ever mentioned or come into play. They are simply a relaxation and wellness practice using sound and vibration. Many people of different faiths, including Christians, enjoy sound healing as a way to rest, release stress, and connect more deeply with their own spirituality.

Do I need to believe in energy
or spirituality for it to work?

Not at all. Sound baths can be enjoyed simply as a powerful form of relaxation, inner observation, and stress relief. Some people feel a spiritual connection, others just enjoy the calm... it’s up to you and the intention you carry into your experience.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations:

Please honor a 48-hour notice for any cancellations or changes. This allows time for your space to be offered to someone else who may need it.

Cancellations made within 48 hours and no-shows are non-refundable for prepaid events and sessions. I understand that unexpected things can happen-if an emergency arises, please reach out to let me know. Life moves in waves, and I always appreciate open communication.

Arrival: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in, ground your energy, and prepare to fully receive your experience.

Can I fall asleep?

Yes! Many people drift into a sleep like state or sleep during a sound bath. You'll still feel the benefits through your intentional nap.

Is this just "woo woo" or does
it actually work?

Sound healing may feel mystical, but it’s also grounded in science. Vibrations affect the nervous system, slowing brain waves, lowering stress hormones, and supporting deep relaxation. Whether you come for the science or the serenity, most people leave feeling renewed.
